Women’s Healthcare Center is a diagnostic facility designed by our physician, Dr. Sandra Pupa, which specializes in ultrasound and mammography. Our caring female staff understands the feelings you may have concerning your mammogram, especially if you are apprehensive about having the exam and receiving the results.
We address these concerns by offering you a choice of an all-female environment. A registered technologist will perform your exam and will make it as comfortable and brief as possible. Our board-certified female radiologist will discuss the results of your mammogram with you, and if any additional X-rays need to be performed to complete your exam, these are done during the same visit. If you have not had a recent breast exam by your doctor, this can also be provided by our female radiologist.
After your mammogram, you will have the opportunity to privately view instructional videos regarding the proper techniques of breast self-examination. Other resources, including books, pamphlets and videos regarding women’s health issues are also available.
